Intelligent use of the Intelligent Assistant

Hello everybody,
I'm practising with the creation of a new document through the Intelligent Assistant.
I'd like to know if there's any way to track in the newly created project the instructions given to the IA at the time of its creation, other than copying / pasting that text into the project notes.
Moreover, it seems that the IA is only usable in the creation phase, while it is not accessible anymore afterwards, one the project is created, isn't that?

This is correct. The Intelligent Assistant is for initiating projects. Accessing it always creates a new project.

No, I don't see another way. Would you care for me to forward this as a feature request? I mean, the newly created project should include the IA description in the Notes of the item #0 ?

As far as the proposal of a new feature is concerned, yes, I think it would be quite useful if, once created the project by the IA, the instructions given in the creation phase through the text box are copied in the note of the root activity or item #0. That would leave a clear track of the project fundamentals.

Hi, this is to let you know that with the last update of Merlin Project the prompt you've use to let the IA create a new project for you gets automatically saved in the Notes field of row #0. So there is no reason for you to copy it before the automatic creation anymore.

Hi I'm new to the forum and to Merlin Project.
I’ve been experimenting with the Intelligent Assistant, and it works beautifully for generating new project structures from an initial prompt.
That said, it would be incredibly helpful if the Assistant could also be accessed after a project has been created — to refine, expand, or update an existing plan as it evolves.
Being able to interact with the AI throughout the project lifecycle (for example, to add new phases, adjust dependencies, or rewrite milestone descriptions) would make Merlin feel more like a true ongoing project partner rather than a one-time setup tool. I hope the team considers extending the Assistant’s availability for iterative planning in a future release.

Hi Gary,

sorry for my late reply, I was on vacation. Currently we don't offer the manipulation of an existing project mainly because of two reasons:

Security. In many project situations the contents are highly confidential. And if we would offer the manipulation of existing projects they have to be published at the AI provider.
And even if the user decides to send the data to an AI system, the amount of that is huge. Merlin Project has a very broad data model and processing that would be expensive in terms of money.

That being said, we are in the process of investigating our possibilities.
